Optional Plant Tours: Thiesing Veneer & G.R. Wood

Arrive in Moorseville, IN (Southwest of Indianapolis and near the airport)

Visit Thiesing Veneer, a family-owned flat and half-round fine face veneer slicing operation. Only about 30 of these operations exist in North America. In addition to slicing equipment, the plant has cooking vats, driers and clipping lines. A circle sawmill is used to flitch logs.

Visit G.R. Wood, a sales and marketing operation with both international and domestic sales. The tour will showcase selected species and quality levels of hardwood veneer.

Both companies have FSC Chain of Custody and process some controlled and pure wood.

Tour Rules & Resstrictions
1. The plant tours are available to Green Conference registrants only.
2. The number of tour registrations which can be accepted is limited. Please register promptly.
3. Tour hosts reserve the right to review the registration list and to prohibit employees of direct competitors from participating in the tour. Name badges issued at registration, must be worn at all times.
4. Audio, video or digital taping or photographing is not permitted.
5. Please bring your own safety shoes and glasses. No open-toed shoes allowed.
